36th Team Lineup

Yoshimura Suzuki Racing Team will compete 2013 Suzuka 8 Hours World Endurance Race with 3 brilliant riders. The lineup will be Takuya Tsuda, who competes in the All Japan Championship Series at Yoshimura Suzuki Racing Team in 2013 season, Nobuatsu Aoki, who is Suzuki Factory test rider, and Joshua Brookes, who competes in the British Superbike Championship Series from Tyco Suzuki. This year Yoshimura Suzuki will race with the GSX-R1000L3 with maximum tuning, and will focus on the 5th victory at Suzuka 8 hours World Endurance Race.

Yohei Kato： The reason we decided to comeback to the All Japan Championship is to win Suzuka 8 Hours World Endurance Race. Our experiences in the current race events and tuning know-how which we learnt through WSBK engine development would be a weapon this year. We will build the best machine ever and will race to get the victory. The lineup of our riders is Takuya Tsuda, Nobuatsu Aoki and Josh Brookes. They are all skilled riders with lots of experiences, and we are sure they will show the great performance at the race. Thank you for all of your support, and we will do our best to get our 5th victory of Suzuka 8 Hours this year.

Comment： It is my first year to race Superbike series and I got the opportunities to experience many things through the races and tests at Yoshimura Suzuki Racing Team. I have better understanding of the Yoshimura GSX-R1000 and I am making some progress of the bike and myself. It is already a big step in my racing career and I am so motivated to race as a rider of Suzuka 8 hours. Both of my pair riders are very well experienced and team will build the best race machine for us, then what I have to do is the just one thing. I will do my best to get the victory at Suzuka 8H!

Comment： I’m absolutely delighted to have been asked to join Yoshimura Suzuki Racing Team at this year’s Suzuka 8-hour. I have had an ambition to win at Suzuka since watching Grand Prix as a kid, when all the greats like Doohan, Rainey and Schwantz stopped mid-season to take in the event. I have already fulfilled my goal of competing there, but now that I’ve been given an opportunity to ride Yoshimura tuned GSX-R1000 at the event, I know that I’ll be in a team capable of winning-even though it will not be easy. I’m really looking forward the event and hopefully we get on the podium.

Comment： My teammates for this year are Takuya who is making progress as a rookie rider and new Josh but with lots of experiences at tough BSB series. It was a pity we had unexpected machine troubles and had to stop the race last year, and our 2013 GSX-R1000 race bike has countermeasures with additional developments. I have done lots of training to fit at the tough race, so I feel so good and ready to go. My target is climbing back to the center of the podium with my teammates at Suzuka 8H and hope we can make it.
